Her name is only the beginning of the story. Born a Riddle, Mia has been given the dubious gift of mystery, her name hinting at untold secrets before you even meet her. Like a six-person pinky swear, the band recorded their new album in a farmhouse studio in rural New York, standing in a circle and playing the songs together, the most straightforward way they could. It was a pledge of allegiance to truth in songwriting and performance, and Riddle and her band of Brooklynites have achieved just that. They are challenging you to the ultimate staring contest, and they aren't blinking any time soon.
Mia and her band have six UK and three US tours under their belts, and keep an active performance schedule in New York and Brooklyn. They have received regular college and BBC radio airplay throughout the globe. Their new record, "Ticonderoga," is named for the epic poem by Robert Louis Stevenson. It will be released in the Spring of 2010.
